The amendment is of crucial importance, as it introduces to the aforementioned act &#8211; in its article one &#8211; a specification of the regulation&#8217;s objective, which is to transition the entire Polish economy to the so-called closed-cycle economy. The changes include detailed regulations for handling construction and demolition waste, clarification and development of regulations for by-products that are not waste, addition of a whole block of regulations for preventing waste generation, and implementation of a definition of extended producer responsibility under EU law.
