Our law firm had the pleasure of supporting a team of students from the Faculty of Law and Administration of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, participating in the finals of the XXX edition of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court in Vienna.<\/p>\n
Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court is the world’s largest moot court competition in the field of international arbitration. More than 2,500 students participated in the competition, representing 378 universities from 89 countries.<\/p>\n
The finals of the competition were held from March 30 to April 6, 2023. The students faced teams from the University of Colorado, University of Pennsylvania, University of San Diego and University of Texas.<\/p>\n
Starting in November 2022, the students worked on pleadings that were solutions to a competition case study in the field of international arbitration and the application of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The team submitted two pleadings (a plaintiff’s pleading and a defendant’s pleading).<\/p>\n
