On May 4, 2019, an act introducing a number of changes in several dozen legal acts, aimed at adapting the Polish legal order to the general EU regulation on the protection of personal data entered into force.
The Act introduces changes, among others, in the Code of Administrative Procedure, the Labor Code, Tax Ordinance, Banking Law and acts regulating the performance of public trust professions (advocates, attorneys at law, notaries, architects, doctors).
The changes concern the manner of performing duties resulting from the GDPR by public authorities, public institutions, employers, banks, and representatives of the so-called free professions.
