On December 6, 2018, the Sejm passed the Act on the National Register of In-Debt-Persons.
This register will be a public register kept by the Minister of Justice in electronic form, publicly available and open to everyone.
The Registry will collect data of all natural and legal persons in relation to which bankruptcy or restructuring proceedings, as well as ineffective enforcement proceedings, were conducted.
The purpose of the Register is to ensure that information about persons who do not pay due liabilities is generally available. Thus, the Registry can both help creditors to assert their rights and discipline debtors to make payments.
