On September 27, 2017 in Oldenburg took place the Economic Forum Oldenburg – Poland, organized by Sparkasse LZO and the city of Oldenburg. The aim of the Forum was the support of economic exchange between Poland and Germany and its guests were many entrepreneurs, experts and representatives of public and cultural institutions, economic chambers and nongovernmental organizations.
The subject of the Forum was the development of distribution channels for goods and services, searching for business partners and investment opportunities. The participants had a chance to exchange the business experiences and to take part in three different workshops concerning the furniture industry and architecture, energy and e-mobility, as well as motorization.
Dr Mirosław Babiaczyk, who represented on the Forum the Law Firm Babiaczyk, Skrocki i Wspólnicy sp. k., delivered very popular lecture entitled „Business and legal conditions of investing in Poland. The Lecture included in the first place the presentation of general characteristics of the Polish legal system and its comparison with the German system, as well as the detailed issues concerning the forms of conduction business activity, establishment of commercial law companies, taxes and labor law.
Particular emphasis of the lecture was placed on the practical aspects of the investment, such as employment of experts, logistical considerations and the issues concerning the location of the planned project and acquisition of real estate, including the existing legal restrictions on the land market.
The Forum has been crowned with an artistic project entitled “Richtig Polen!”, which included the presentation of non-commercial Polish music and its presentation to our Western neighbors.
