In January 2021 law firm Babiaczyk, Skrocki i Wspólnicy was engaged in supporting a nationwide Human Rights Competition organised by the European Law Students’ Association ELSA Poznań, under the honorary patronage of the District Bar Council in Poznań, the Rector of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Psychology at SWPS University in Poznań, the Polish Ombudsman, the Rule of Law Institute, the Legal Intervention Association and the Halina Nieć Legal Aid Centre.
The Competition aimed to promote knowledge among law students about the European Convention on Human Rights and the activities of the European Court of Human Rights, and to broaden legal awareness of the importance of human rights protection in the contemporary world.
On 23 January 2021, the final gala of the Competition was held. During the gala, prof. UG Tomasz Tadeusz Koncewicz., gave a lecture entitled “On judges, rights, and the promise of the courtroom”. The speech on behalf of the law firm Babiaczyk, Skrocki i Wspólnicy was delivered by attorney- at – law Tytus Niewczyk.
