Act on the Certification of Public Procurement Contractors
On 5 August 2025, the Sejm adopted the Act on the Certification of Public Procurement Contractors. It has been signed by the President of the Republic of Poland. The Act lays down the rules for the certification of public procurement contractors and the conditions for the use of a public procurement contractor’s certificate.
An interesting resolution of the Supreme Court concerning land and mortgage registers
On 7 August 2025, the Supreme Court, in case no. III CZP 2/25, adopted a resolution concerning the legal form of documents constituting the basis for entries in the land and mortgage registers.
Pangea Net Annual General Meeting in Kolding
Representatives of our law firm – dr. Mirosław Babiaczyk, Maciej Olejniczak, Tytus Niewczyk and Maria Gawecka participated in an Annual General Meeting of Pangea Net, which was hosted this year by Pangea’s Danish member -Andersen Partners Advokatfirma in Kolding last week (30th of May-1st of June).
Win against ZUS before the Appellate Court in Poznań
On March 19th 2024 the Poznań Appellate Courts ruled in favor of the Law Firm’s Client in a dispute against the Social Insurance Institution over health insurance premiums. The Appelate Court dismissed in its entirety the Social Insurance Institution’s appeal against an earlier ruling by the District Court in Poznań, which overturned a decision stating that the Firm’s Client was a debtor for unpaid health insurance premiums. The Social Insurance Institution was obliged to refund the costs of the proceedings in both instances. The judgment issued is final.
Success before the Court of Appeals in Lodz
On 21st of March 2024, in the Court of Appeals in Lodz, a favorable judgment was rendered for the Law Firm’s client in a case for payment of remuneration arising from a construction contract. The claims, together with costs and interest, exceeded PLN 400,000.
